Review

I received this book as one of the goodreads.com giveaways. The cover was beautiful and as much as I love fireflies, I could not wait to read it! Honestly....I had no idea what it was about. By time time I got to chapter 4 (within an hour of cracking the cover), I was in tears! This book was so beautifully written, that I physically and emotionally felt everything each character was feeling. The heartache that they each experienced during their loss of a loved one, and the pain each of them felt at having to move forward.

The amazing thing about this books, is that it takes you down the path of each character. Lays the groundwork so to speak for each element so you as the reader can see exactly what is taking place. But it also is cleverly written, so that you do not get all of the details until the end. Its not quite a mystery...but more of a puzzle. You already know what has happened and where its going...the puzzle is how they got there.

This has to be one of my new favorites! I am giving it 5 stars!!!!! It has everything that a good book should be. And the emotions that it pulls out of you are amazingly realistic and sobering. I have already added the first book, Firefly Lane to the "To Read" shelf so I can begin that one as well.

I recommend this book to anyone, young and old who wants an honest to goodness good book. It is full of heartache and struggle and release. It is written well, and what I consider an "easy read" (you don't need a dictionary next to you the whole time you are reading). Just remember to keep the Kleenex close by and enjoy!

If anyone else has read this book, and has any additional comments good or bad, let me know. If you enjoyed the book, or disliked the book, let me know. I want t hear from you!
